Neil O Mara is an Irish exile living in the UK, he lives in fear because he was
set up for murder nineteen years ago and he absconded rather than face trial. He
lives a dormant life.

Neil sends a letter to his son Eoin seeking closure on his past. From the start
someone else is looking for Neil for their own motivations.

The past and the present will come face to face and Neil’s letter is only the
beginning.

A Body of Water is David Joyce’s debut play. A Mentoring Bursary from Galway County Council and a Mentoring Award from Arts &Disability Ireland enabled this play to be developed with mentoring from Eileen Gibbons, Galway Theatre Practitioner.
