Between Language and Limb

`Between Language and Limb` is a work-in-progress where Galway director, choreographer and dancer Patricia Glynn, poet Geraldine Mills, and contemporary dancer Celina Jaffe, explore some creative and performance possibilities that can emerge between the two separate art forms of poetry and movement/dance.

Dancers respond to the poet`s words, while the language of movement, shape and dynamics of the dancer can inspire poetic images. Each artist translates from the language of the other, listening for a common rhythm that may inspire, enrich or embellish the outcome.

This work in progress is being supported by the Galway Dance Project.
