Join Johanne Webb, (MAM, Performer, director,writer) from MAM West in a panel discussion on the highs and lows of being mothering artists, the challenges in the industry and to dream of what change might look like that benefits both parenting artists and the business as a whole. All are welcome, including children and babies.
Panel includes:
Lesley Conroy is an IFTA award nominated actress & award winning writer for stage and screen. Her monologue CLEANER has screened Internationally, winning Best Cork Short in the 66th Cork International Film Festival. She was an inaugural participant on dlr Mill Theatre’s MAVENS, a playwright development programme for 35+ females and is currently adapting work with the support of the Arts Council. She is a steering member of MAM (Mothers Artists Makers) and advocates for DEI in the film & theatre sector.
Esosa Ighodaro is an award winning writer/director, vocalist and actor based in Dublin. She makes
work for stage and screen. Her work aims to highlight black talent and tell more varied stories of the black experiences in Ireland, using humour to explore more serious themes. She currently has original TV projects and new full length plays in development. As a 2023 Axis Arts Centre Resident Artist, she will be writing and directing 3 new short pieces featuring artists of colour.
Johanne Webb is a mother, actor, director, Family Constellations facilitator and proud member of MAM (Mothers Artists Makers). She studied acting at MMU (Capitol Theatre) and holds a BA and an MA in Theatre and Media for Development (University of Winchester). Recent credits include SALT (Vanessa Earl), Hear Our Voices (Rósan Sensory) Woman in Where Mountain Kisses Sea (Twisted Lane) , Jo in Also For Roaring ( Róisín Stack), Performer 9 Stories About Love (Little Door). Johanne a Performance Director for Macnas, and is currently developing a 5 year project called This Is A Post About Love. She is a Druid FUEL and Axis Assemble recipient.
