The Little Cinema One Take Challenge is a filmmaking challenge in collaboration with the Galway Theatre Festival which incorporates the restrictions of theatre in film by asking filmmakers to make a 5 minute film in just one take!
Like in theatre, once the show starts, there is no going back and with the One Take Challenge, once the cameras roll, it’s on! Filmmakers can use multiple cameras, and do multiple practice takes, but footage from different takes can’t be used together in the edit.
It’s a great opportunity for filmmakers to push their skills to their limits, making use of camera movement, incorporating locations and making the most of their performers while keeping the crew hidden!

Spaces are limited and if too many submissions are received, the screening will be selected by the Little Cinema.
